
Sadoski started his stage career that was awarded with awards by playing the understudy of Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in the Off Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed production This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. This production was the beginning of many for the New york-based theatre group. He has performed in many Off-broadway and Broadway productions. He has also been in several productions in regional theaters. In 2008, he portrayed the role as Greg in Neil LaBute's show reasons to be beautiful for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. It was an acclaimed Off-Broadway play that sold to the max. In April 2009, it was moved to Broadway and received three Tony Award nominations: Best Actor: Sadoski; Best Actress: Marin Ireland; Best Play as well as three Drama Desk Award nominations: Best actor, Best Director, Terry Kinney and Best actor. 6 Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for inspiring the critically noted shift in tone of the reasons to be attractive from the playwright's previous works saying: "His own thoughtfulness and kindness helped me not go back to any of the plays I've written prior to that. My plays tend to end darkly. While I was of the opinion that gray was a real thing He proved to me that there are many shades in life. He played the character in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For the role, he was awarded an Obie Award as well as a Lucille Lortel Award. After a sell-out Off-Broadway performance in November of 2011 the show was moved to Broadway and was recognized as an Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski, Ben Stiller, Edie Failco Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alison Pill, and Alison Pill were also seen on Broadway in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves.
